Willie Buster Smock, Jr.

November 11, 1946 — January 9, 2020

Willie Buster Smock, Jr., 73, passed away on January 9, 2020.  He was born on November 11, 1946, in Dallas, Texas, to the home of Willie Buster Smock, Sr. and Johnnie Mae Henderson Smock.

At the young age of 16, Willie acted in the movie "Indian Paint."  His acting career didn’t get very far due to the fact he had a young family and was unable to travel.  He later worked as a firefighter for the Balch Springs Fire Department, drove race cars in Crandall, Texas, and raised and sold farm animals.  In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing and playing card games.  Willie was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his daughter, Yalanda Brewer; son Roger Smock; grandchildren Katrina Patterson, Cory Grind, Tamara Michelle, Jackie Pierson, Kayden Reavis, Johnathan Smock, Nicholas Smock, Christopher Roxen, Jeremy Roxen, Tara Roxen, Ricky Hodges, and Jesse Hodges; sisters Dorothy Eudy and Delia Brock; and eight nieces and nephews.

Willie is preceded in death by his parents; wife Judy Ann; grandson Daniel Reavis; and brothers Tony Wright and Jamie Smock.
