William Fred Dycus, 68, passed away on November 17, 2021. He was born on December 11, 1952, in Dallas, Texas, to parents Ray and Ola Faye Dycus.
Fred served 40 years as a Southern Baptist Minister in Texas, Colorado, and Kansas, and 12 years as a prison Chaplain. He grew up in a military family and lived in Turkey as a pre-teen. He made two trips to the Holy Land which he really enjoyed. He was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed watching movies, especially John Wayne movies. Fred was a very caring, loving man and he enjoyed spending time with his family. He would smoke different meats for family get-togethers and would always have a story or joke to tell. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Fred is survived by his wife of 19 years, Diana Marie Dycus; daughter Mary Secorra Dycus-Velasquez; sons Charles Brant and James Brant; eight grandchildren; brother Gary Ray Dycus.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
