Thomas Shane Eddington, 36, passed away on January 26, 2021. He was born on August 15, 1984, in Phoenix, Arizona.
Thomas was one of a kind. He lived to help people; he always helped anyone who needed it; he would give you his last dollar. His wife and three children were the most important things to Thomas. He worked hard to make sure they had a better life than he did. Spending time with his children was a top priority. He took the boys riding dirt bikes, four-wheelers, go-carts, and always to football practice, and he loved to cheer his boys on at their games. He was the apple of his daughter’s eye, and he spent time with her playing dress-up. Thomas and his family lived in the Cedar Creek Lake area for the past two years and were members of St. Justin’s Episcopal Church in Canton, Texas. He was employed at Teague Chevrolet for the last two years. He also worked off and on since 2012 at Day Tire in Mabank and worked at Gun Barrel Transmission. Thomas loved to “tinker” with things. He and his buddy, Vann, worked together on boats and jet skis. He had an old ’78 Chevy Nova he worked on. He was always looking to find “a deal.” He would buy something for $50, put it back together, and sell it for $500. Thomas will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Desiree Frances; children Thomas Eddington, Jr., Patrick Eddington, Aubrey Eddington; mother Janet Eddington; brothers Bill Eddington, Jarred Eddington, Michael Eddington, Keith Eddington, Charlie Scrivner; father-in-law Douglas Beicht; mother-in-law Sally Beicht; numerous nieces and nephews.
Thomas is preceded in death by his father, Keith Eddington.
