Thomas Winston Medlin, Sr., 85, of Mabank, TX was born in Walters, Oklahoma, October 10, 1926, and passed away July 12, 2012. His parents were John and Alice Medlin. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Hella Shrine.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force. His background included Western Regional Service Manager of Komatsu America Corp, Production/Purchasing Manager of Custom Armor Manufacturers in Texas and Florida.
In 1986 he and his wife moved to the Cedar Creek Lake Area and started "Mr. Hub Cap". He also built and sold various kit cars, replicas of antique-type cars. He loved to "Buy-Sell-Trade" with his customers who would become his valued friends. Even when his sight was completely lost, it was still "business as usual".
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 64 years, Frances, daughters, Lou Anne Whitley, Wendy Fortner and husband Ralph, Joni Baugus, Kimberly Splawn and husband Rick, son, Thomas Medlin, Jr. and wife Jeanette, twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, and dearest friend, David McAfee.
