Susan Joyce Brown (nee Bolt)

Susan Joyce Brown (née Bolt), 70, of Payne Springs, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on June 17, 2024. She was born Feb. 2, 1954, in Montrose, California to the late John Albert Bolt and Madeline Elizabeth Weiseman. 

She worked at Mabank Brookshires for 32 years before retirement. She was a long-time member of Harbor Baptist Church. She truly cherished the Lord, spending time in prayer and enjoyed reading the Bible. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends but will be remembered with her smiles and laughter.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents, John and Madeline Bolt; a son, Wayne John Daley Jr.; brother, John Albert Bolt II; sisters-in-law, Susan Timson, Jeannette Watt; and brother-in-law, Ray Kirk. 

Susan is survived by her husband Barry Brown; sisters, Barbara Kirk of Philadelphia; Cindy Nelson of Houston, Texas; brother, Dave Bolt and wife Laura of New Jersey; son, Nathan Brown and wife Melissa of Caney City, Texas; daughter, Dorinda McLeod of New Braunfels, Texas; son, Juan Duran and wife Tiffany of College Station, Texas; son, Shawn Duran and wife Tina of Payne Springs, Texas; son, William Brown and wife Hyuna of Colorado; son, Jose Daley and wife Barbara of Carthage, Texas; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.
