Steven Dale Freeman of Gun Barrel City, Texas went home to be with Jesus on January 9, 2017. He was born June 14, 1953 in Dallas, Texas to the home of Jimmy L & Bobby Jean Fields Freeman. Steven has 4 brothers: Bruce and his wife Aurelia Pledger, Jimmy Mark, Terry Lynn Freeman and Richard Keith and his wife Anita Kaye Freeman. Steven has 2 children: Zachary Freeman and Jennifer & her husband Jimmy Taylor. He had a very special place in his heart for his 2 beautiful grandchildren: Evelyn W Freeman & Jordan L Taylor.
Steven has a very close personal friend that was always there for not only Steven but to all of the Freeman family, Jerry Bain. Jerry is the Godparent to Steven’s two children. From time to time you would see the two of them out and about fishing or having dinner together. Jerry will always hold a special place in the Freeman’s heart.
Steven is preceded in death by his parents and his only sister Melissa Freeman.
Left to cherish Steven’s memories is many other family members and a host of friends. Steven was greatly loved; he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Danny Stephens will be officiating the service for the Freeman family.
