Shirley Ann Womack

Shirley Ann Womack passed away on April 5, 2023, in Tool, Texas. Ms. Womack was born on June 9, 1947 to Judson N. and Eloise (Stretcher) Melton.

Shirley was a homemaker throughout her life, spending her time being a devoted wife and mother. Shirley is described by those who knew her and loved her as a very self-less woman, always placing the wants and needs of others before her own. During her free time, Ms. Womack found much enjoyment studying Genealogy with her cousin Beth Walton.  Shirley also loved to play games, especially Pogo.

Shirley is preceded in death by her father, Judson Melton; brothers, Danny Melton and David Melton; son, Christopher Thomas Womack; husband, George Thomas Womack Jr. and her sister Margaret Stickney. 

Shirley  is survived by her mother, Eloise Matthews of Azle, Texas; daughter, Suzanne Womack of Tool, Texas; granddaughters, Rebekka Womack and husband John of Tool, Texas, Tressie Womack of Tool, Texas, Libby Womack of Kemp, Texas and Ashlynn Siobhan of Kemp, Texas; grandson, Nathan Smith of Gun Barrel City, Texas; brothers, Doug Melton of Azle, Texas and Gary Melton and wife Susie of Dumas, Texas; sister-in-law, Susie Smith of Gun Barrel City, Texas; brother-in-law, Terry Womack and wife Terri of Humble, Texas. Shirley will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
