Sherrie Justine Luman

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sherrie Mixon Luman.

Sherrie Justine Luman passed away surrounded by her loved ones on May 22, 2023, at her home in Mabank, Texas, after losing her battle to cancer.

Sherrie’s greatest love was spending time with her family. What she really enjoyed the most in life was riding Harleys with her husband across the United States. Sherrie enjoyed her quiet time, drinking coffee in her red rocker on her front porch while watching her two fur babies playing in the yard.

Sherrie is preceded in death by her father, George Mixon and spouse Joyce; her mother Barbara (Nanny) Marino and spouse John; maternal grandparents, Otis and Fayrene Featherston; paternal grandparents, Clarence and Chesley Mixon, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Sherrie is lovingly remembered by her husband of 22 years, James Ray (Buddy) Luman; children, Kimberly LaFaye Mixon and fiancé Robert Alley, Tiffany Marie Celum and husband Jason; 6 grandchildren, Payten Justine, Camren Howard, Robert Breeden, Mariah Harvey and husband Kaden, Christian Howard, Kyden Celum; her only great-grandbaby, Kainen George Hernandez; sister, Marth DeRusha and husband Darrell; 3 stepsisters, Diana Robertson, Vickie Trammell, and Neta Hendrickson; 4 stepbrothers, Reggie Marino, Scott Marino, Joey Marino, and Cody Mills, as well as many loving friends.

Sherrie was a loving and loyal wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, niece, and cousin. She will be greatly missed by us all.
