Scottie Wayne Johnson

August 16, 1969 — January 9, 2022

Scottie Wayne Johnson, 52, passed away on January 9, 2022.  He was born on August 16, 1969, in Dallas, Texas.

He loved motorcycles and the feeling of the wind on his face.  His passion for motorcycles was matched only by his fire for the Dallas Cowboys.  He loved to travel and feel the sand on his feet and the sun on his face.  There is nothing more he enjoyed doing at the end of his day than have his loved ones and friends with him and play a game of dominos.  Scottie was a people person and so giving; he would stop and give someone the shirt off his back or a ride in the rain.  He loved life and lived it to his fullest ability.  He was always there when we needed him, and he always gave the best advice.  Scottie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Scottie is survived by his fathers’ Mike Gates and Terry Wayne Johnson; children Daniel Garcia and wife Kayla, Tori Johnson, Kortney Johnson, and Suzie Johnson; grandchildren Bryson Lopez, Dylan Pickar, Victoria Lozada, Alexander Lozada, Haleigh Lozada, Matthew Swiney, Bailey Johnson, Joshua Bowers, and Savannah Bowers; great-grandchildren Xayn Pickar and Braxton Forsythe; brothers Stephen Johnson and wife Eva, Ronald Johnson, and James Woodard; sisters Terri Johnson and Tiffany Gates; girlfriend Tracie Johnson and her children Benji Johnson, Journey Johnson, and Nevaeh Esner; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his mothers’ Bobbie Sue Taylor and Claudette Johnson, stepfather Robert Taylor, and stepbrother Joshua Taylor.

Pastor James Woodard will officiate for the Johnson family.
