Sandra Pauline Skinner McDonald Tregre, 77, of Gun Barrel City, TX was born on March 1, 1936 to the home of Harry and Bertha Skinner and passed away on May 27, 2013 in Kaufman, TX. Sandra was a nun at Mt. Saint Scholastica in the Benedictine Order and taught art for over twenty years. She was a skilled sculptress and was commissioned to do a statue of Hank Williams Sr. which is in Alabama and Lefty Frizell which is in Corsicana, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband C. D. "Doug" McDonald, second husband Gene Tregre, sister Gail Thompson. She is survived by stepson Doug McDonald, Jr., godson Colin McDonald, brother Ed Skinner and wife Ann and brother in law Jim Thompson, step-sister Harriett Graeve and her husband Phil, long time college friend Marge Tansley and other family members and many friends. Visitation and Rosary services will be held at 6:30 pm, Thursday, May 30, 2013 Moorhead Epps Funeral Home in Gun Barrel City, TX, Mass Of Christian Burial will be held 10:30AM Friday, May 31, 2013 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Gun Barrel City, TX.
