Sally Ann Wagner Jefferson passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 30, 2018. She was born on July 11, 1935 and was the first child born to Edward (Frecks) and Nellie (Lolly) Wagner. She leaves behind a family that loves her and will miss her for the rest of their lives. Husband of 64 years, Guy W. Jefferson, Children Deborah Jefferson Macziewski and husband Dr. Gale Macziewski,Edward Jefferson and wife Renae Lumadue Jefferson, Douglas Jefferson and wife Tammy Cain Jefferson, Dr. Jay & Lori Story. Kevin William Jefferson passed away at 2 days old in 1959. Grandchildren, Tanya Jefferson Cooper and husband Walter Cooper, Susann Johnson and husband Todd Johnson, Guy Jefferson and Fiancée Stormy Whiddon, Courtney Paige Jefferson (passed away before birth) Colin Jefferson and wife Maggie Jefferson, Gale M. “Galen” Macziewski III and Jessica & Lauren Story. Great Grandchildren, Jacquelyn Cooper and Fiancée James Kennedy, Walter Alec Cooper, Todd Allan Johnson Jr. Meadow Brooke Jefferson, Robert Mason Story, Guy Nathan Jefferson, Kylar Whiddon, Ian Jefferson, Ellison Jefferson and Willow Gayle Jefferson. She is also survived by her four sisters and their husbands, Peggy and Hank Lepkowski, Sandra and Thomas Holden, Nancy and Richard Baumann, Lori and Michael Moscato and George Zimmett. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister Judy Wagner Zimmett and an infant sister Catherine Wagner. She also leaves behind her Sister in Law, Maria Williams and her late husband Bob and brother in law George Jefferson and wife Chris. There are hundreds of nieces, nephews and friends that have lost their beloved “Aunt Sally” and “ Grandma Sally”. Sally Ann Wagner was raised on the Niagara River and lived on the famous tow-path. The stories and history of her life as a child and young woman will be shared and never forgotten. Sally met Guy Jefferson while roller skating and they were married in 1954. They lived in the Buffalo/Tonawanda area of New York until 1978 when they moved to Texas. Sally worked as a school bus driver for over 20 years in Coppell, Texas and earned the honor of receiving the Dallas County Bus Driver of the Year Award. She is still remembered by many of the children who rode her bus and the job was a source of great joy for her. Sally and Guy retired and moved to Seven Points Texas in 2014 to be closer to Family and to enjoy living near Cedar Creek Lake.
A fund has been set up at Woodforest Bank in Guy Jefferson’s name to assist with the mounting expenses related to Sally’s hospitalization and Rehabilitation care for the past 45 days. A Memorial Service will be held at a future date to allow our Family the time to adjust and be able to plan a celebration that is so well deserved.
Please pray for our Family as we learn to live our lives without our Sally Ann Jefferson. Knowing she is now pain-free and at peace is a comfort to all of us, but we will miss her more than words can say.
