Ruth Ann Waymire went to be with the Lord August 2, 2022. The sun rose and the world welcomed Ruth Ann Lewis December 30, 1944, a day the world became a little brighter. Ruth was born in Dallas, Texas, to Clarence William Lewis and Hilda Ernesteen Pollard Lewis. She married the love of her life, Jimmy Oderral Waymire, on August 29, 1965. She lived a full life filled with joy, and her presence brought warmth and love to all who knew her. She took her final breath on earth surrounded by loved ones. She will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.
Ruth had a servant's heart and was in the nursing field for several years. She took her knowledge to several other countries as she offered physical and spiritual healing to everyone she met. Her experience included anything from delivering babies, administering medications, and caring for little children. While doing all of that she also focused on missionary work and made sure everyone she met knew God. The light of the Lord shined through her.
Ruth had so much love for her family and friends. She took several mission trips to share that love and to spread the word of God. She was such a giving lady; she lived to make all God's children smile. Children especially loved her. She enjoyed volunteering at Vacation Bible School and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jimmy Oderral Waymire; daughter Kimberly Diane Weaver and husband William Michael; three grandchildren Melanie Nichole Alcala and husband Nicholas, Cora Loraine Brown and husband Jonathan, and Breann Elizabeth Waymire; three great-grandchildren Tinley Brown, Kaceton Brown, and Stetson Alcala; sisters Pamela Carr and husband Robert and Nancy Allen and husband Greg.
She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Hilda Lewis, and son Kenneth Wayne Waymire.
Brother Dale Norris, with Faith Community Baptist Church in Payne Springs, Texas, will officiate for the Waymire family.
