Ruby Winnelle Marshall

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our Mother, Ruby Winnelle Marshall, on April 1, 2022.  Mom was born July 25, 1930, in Rush Springs, Oklahoma, to the late Arthur D. and Louie Norene Bowles.

On April 24, 1946, she married Charles Albert Marshall and embarked on a beautiful love story that endured for almost 75 years.  They were blessed with five children who are thankful to have been loved and raised by her.  Mom gave her heart to Christ as a young girl and spent her life running her race with perseverance, fixing her eyes on her Savior, the author and finisher of her faith.  From that foundation came Mom’s fierce love for Dad, her children, and everyone who was blessed to call her Memaw, Meme, sister, aunt, or friend.  Even in the last few days, when her strength was just about gone, she would reach out her hand to family and friends who came to visit and motion them closer just to remind them that she loved them.

Thank you, Mom, for the truth and testimony of your life.  We love you, and we will see you and Dad again soon.

Ruby leaves to cherish her memory; children, Charles L. and Kimber Marshall of Missouri City, Texas, Connie and Jim Wood of Gun Barrel City, Texas, Carol and Ken Whitehead of Greenville, Texas, Brenda and Wes Henson of Winnsboro, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brothers and their spouses, Truman and Maggie Bowles, Lester and Linda Bowles and Jimmie Allen and Marilynn Bowles.

Ruby was predeceased by her mother and father, Arthur D. and Louie Norene Bowles, husband Charles Marshall, daughter Cathy Marshall, granddaughter Jamie Wood, brother Horace Bowles, sisters Dean Julian and Mary Anne Haynes.

Pastor Philip Cook will officiate for the Marshall family.

Pallbearers are Dwayne Greenville, Clinton Wood, Micah Whitehead, Austin Marshall, Ryan Henson, and Jensen Simmons.
