Royal Lee Hancock, Jr., 69, formally known as Happy, passed away at his home on Sunday, January 24, 2021. He was born on September 15, 1951, in Tucson, Arizona, to Royal and Lucille Hancock.
He worked for Red Dot for many years before he retired. He met many people in life that became long life friends of his. Happy loved being outdoors where he could fish or hunt. He loved being in the middle of nowhere, where he could do pretty much whatever he wanted to off the grid. The love he had for his wife and kids is indescribable. Happy and his wife, Mary, were happily married for 24 years.
Royal is survived by his children Roy Stringer, Eli Hancock, Blaine Hancock, Kathryn Holman and husband Rafael, Robbie Preciado, Lisa Rojas, Chano Preciado, Leighann Pena and husband Joey; 24 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; his father R. L. Hancock, Sr.; brother Robert Hancock; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Hancock; mother, Lucille Hancock; sister Karen Nelson; and stepson Michael McGregor.
Pastor John Kling, with Zion Hill Assembly in Athens, Texas, will officiate for the Hancock family.
