Rose Ann Burroughs, born June 11, 1940, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2025, Leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and impeccable penmanship.

A woman of grace and warmth, Rose was recognized for her beautiful handwriting, a skill she honed with patience and care—just like the love she poured into those around her. But among her many achievements, the title she held dearest was the Number One Mother and Nanny —an honor she earned every day through her unwavering devotion, wisdom, and boundless love.

She had a deep love for roses, finding beauty in every petal and joy in their delicate fragrance. Just as roses bloom with care and patience, so did the love she cultivated in the lives of her family and friends.

She is preceded in Death by her mother and father, Harold Leroy Miller and Eliza Jane Beal; husband, Floyd Gene Burroughs; siblings, Done Miller (Duckie); Harold Leroy Miller II (Bud); Sarah Jane Miller (Janie); Lawrence Miller; James William (Jimmy); Dorothy Frances Miller; children, James Roy Edward Burroughs; and grandchild, Mathew Stewart.

She is Survived by Her children-Floyd Dewayne Burroughs and wife Brandie; Gail Shough and husband John Maness (Jr); Robert Burroughs and wife Marina; grandchildren, Jessica Yma and husband Alex; Josh Brough; Brent Williams; Jacob Tuggle; Patrick Tuggle; Jason and his wife Kelsey Stuart; Melissa Higdon; Donnie Higdon; Robert Burroughs II and wife Michelle; Shaylendrea Barret and husband Breck,; Harold Burroughs and wife Serena; Heather Burroughs; Travis Burroughs; Katherine Burroughs; John Maness 3rd; great-grandchildren, Aiden; Carter; Summer; Devion Jay Alexander; Kadance; Gunner; Lynnlee; Braelee; Charlotte; Gracie; Trenton; Olivia; Stella; Adeline; and Kinley; Rose’s presence will be deeply missed but forever felt in the hearts of those she touched. Her kindness, laughter, and steady hand in life’s journey leave a lasting imprint on all who knew her.
