Robert Earl Jennings

Robert Jennings passed away Sunday, Aug. 16, 2020, from cancer with his youngest daughter by his side. Robert was born in Dallas, Tx to William and Elois Jennings. He was the older brother to Donald Jennings. He grew up in Oak Cliff and was part of the first students to attend Kimball High School, graduating in 1961. Robert was married twice and had three daughters. He worked at Cardinal Metals for 36 years and after retirement planned to spend as much time as possible on the lakes and in the outdoors that he loved so much. He spent many years living on Cedar Creek Lake where he loved teaching his grandkids how to fish and taking them on boat rides. He will be greatly missed by his three daughters Kari Jennings Short, married to Tim Short; Jetta Jennings Airhart; and Kristi Jennings Clements, married to Danny Rowland. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren Joshua, Daphne, Austin, Madison, Kaitlynn, Jacob, Sterling, Kylie, Cole and Ryan; and his nine great-grandchildren Alissa, Nate, Levi, Zander, Pierce, Raiden, Sterling Jr., Kailor, and Grant. He will also be greatly missed by Hector, his beloved dog. Services are pending.
