Robert Milton "Bob" Harper was born October 3, 1938 in Prairieville, TX to Earl and Eunice Lee Harper and passed away on July 2, 2016 in Mabank, TX with his loving family by his side. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Molly Gail Carden. To cherish his memory, Bob leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Donna Sue Ford Harper of Mabank; 1 sister, Linda Jo Marrow of Liverpool; 3 daughters, Shelia Kay Ashton of Mabank, Brenda Gail Goodell and husband Thomas of Eustace and Loretta Lee Tucker of Grand Prairie; 8 grandchildren, Bobby Earl Hyde, Brittney Michelle Smeltzer, Jarred Wayne Batson, Cody Matthew Ashton, Christopher Matthew Tucker, Christian Logan Tucker, Sunni Rae Goodell and Raini McClay Goodell; 6 great grandchildren, Kaylee Ann Hyde, Bobby Earl Hyde Jr, Torrence Cheyenne Hyde, Bree Nevaeh Smeltzer, Memphis Carter Hyde, and Tucker Lane Ashton. Bob also leaves a large family of brothers and sister in law, cousins, nieces and nephews. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army entering service in 1961 and honorably discharged as a Sergeant in 1967. He worked for Howmet/Vistawall Aluminum in Terrell for 38 years where he retired as a foreman. Bob was born, raised, married, raised his family and remained in the Prairieville/Mabank area for his entire 77 years of life. He loved his family and he loved this area. Robert Milton "Bob" Harper was a gentle bear and will be missed tremendously by all who loved him. Until we meet again dear husband, beloved father, family and friend.
