Rita Ann Reed

Our mother, Rita Reed (King), 72, was called home to worship her Lord and Savior on December 26, 2022.  She was born on December 19, 1950, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to parents Kenneth Wayne King and Rosemary Alsman King.

As we will miss her earthly presence with us, we rejoice in that she is surrounded by those friends and family in Jesus Christ who have gone before her.

Rita is survived by her stepmother Jean King; children Chris and Trish Reed, Tammie Reed, Stephanie Shotwell, and Mike Bergin; grandchildren Michael Reed, James Reed, Jessica Poteet, Adam Bergin, Katelyn Weaver, Tyler and Tiffany Bergin, Travis Bergin, Christian and Josh Bergin, and Ryan Shotwell; great-grandchildren Gabriel Bergin Willem Bergin, Paisleigh Poteet, Erahlyn Bergin; siblings Jan and Keith Hibbits, John and Shelly Johnston, Judy Byars, and Jerry King; and many more family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Wayne King, mother Rosemary Magill (Alsman,) uncle and aunt Bob and Wanda Swope.

A time and location for a celebration of life to honor her will be announced at a later time and date.
