Rev. Thomas Allen

Rev. Thomas Burns "Tommy" Allen 85 of Gun Barrel City was born May 18, 1927 in Hugo, Oklahoma to the home of Leslie Simon Allen and Louis Gesslen Allen and passed away June 9, 2012 in Athens. He was an ordained Pentecostal Minister and a retired union sheet metal mechanic who worked on buildings in Dallas, the most recognizable is the one with the "X". Left to cherish his memory are his wife Virginia Allen, son R.L. Allen, daughter Anglia Dianne Beckham, brother Rev. Charles Gayland Allen, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, numerous other family members and many friends. He was preceded in death by two sons Jimmy L. Allen, Larry T. Allen Sr., daughter Brenda Joyce Dewbre. A graveside funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday June 15, 2012 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Mabank under the care of Moorhead Epps Funeral Home in Gun Barrel City.
