Rebecca Jane Tanner

Rebecca Jane Tanner, 41, passed away on June 9, 2022.  She was born on January 3, 1981, in Dallas, Texas, to parents Jerry Glenn Richardson, Sr. and Barbara Lou Pierson Richardson.

Janie is what we called her.  My dad liked the name Jane because of a children’s book from his childhood about a girl named Jane.  Janie was always a jokester and loved to visit with her good friends and family.  Her heart was big, her arms ready to hug, and her ears ready to listen.  She was an incredible artist.  She loved to draw and craft. She smiled when she was sad and made sure to say she loved us all as often as possible.  She loved Jesus and his Father so much that she called him Dad. She loved her children most of all and spoke of that love often. Janie is truly dancing in her new body in heaven for her Dad, her kids’ dad, her baby she lost, our mom, and so many loved ones.  She was a light of God’s love to many.  Shine bright sissy…….shine bright!

Janie is survived by her father Jerry Richardson, Sr.; children Xavier Ruiz, Matthew Ruiz, and Haley Richardson; brothers Jerry Richardson, Kenny Dismuk, Terry Richardson, Cliff Richardson; sisters Christina Hill and husband Edward, Robin Richardson, Leah Licavoli and husband Joe, and Lena Richardson; numerous nephews and nieces; and one grand dog Scott.

She is preceded in death by her mother Barbara Richardson, sisters Deborah Green and Frances Richardson, grandpa Troy Pierson, grandma Patsy Sutton, grandma Eva Richardson, and grandpa James Richardson.
