Phyllis “Weeder” Peavy, 74, passed away on December 12, 2023, in Gun Barrel City, Texas. She was born on September 16, 1949, in Birmingham, Alabama to parents Tinse and Bonnie (Bilbro) Morgan.
Phyllis enjoyed many things in life, but what she enjoyed most was being with her dogs Shelby, Daisey, and Rufus. They brought pure joy into her life every day. If you could take her attention away from her dogs, she enjoyed spending time with her son and grandson. Family was her happy place.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, Tinse and Bonnie Morgan; brother, Ronnie Morgan; and great-granddaughter, Wednesday Barry.
Phyllis is survived by her son, Leon Peavy of Eustace, Texas; grandson, Blake Barry and Amy of Sulphur Springs, Texas; granddaughter, Mary Ann Barry of South Dakota; great-grandkids, Toby, Emberly, and Abby; sister, Brenda Dreher; as well as multiple cousins, friends, and family members.
