Phillip Shane Shirley was born on June 12, 1964, in Dallas, Texas, to parents Thomas Lynn Shirley and Johnelle Fortner Lacey Shirley. Phillip passed away on September 12, 2022.
He worked as a mechanic for 35 years for TransPro Transmissions in Dallas, Texas. He was a wonderful representative of TransPro and turned many clients into lifelong friends. Phillip had a wonderful sense of humor and was always joking at the shop and with family. If you knew him, you knew he was a friend to all and was always just a phone call away. Phillip had many hobbies throughout his life including riding his Harley; he was an avid golfer and could play the drums like he belonged in Metallica himself. Phillip was a born again Christian and came to love the Lord. Family was everything to Phillip; he adored his children and loved spending time with them. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Phillip is survived by his daughters Lauren Plugge and husband Ryan, Christal Neilsen, and Makenzie Shirley; son Peyton Shirley; grandchildren Christiyanna, Chrizgen, Chriscella, and Oaklynn; brother Dennis Shirley and wife Vickie; sister Nelda DeMars and husband George; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Thomas Lynn Shirley, Jr.
Pastor Rod Brewer, with JOY Church in Sunnyvale, Texas, will officiate for the Shirley family.
