Paula Larain Weidner

Paula Larain Shofner was born to Dorothy Bowden Nov. 11, 1957. She entered eternal peace on April 30, 2020.

Paula attended Mabank High School and graduated with the class of 1976. She spent many years running the office of S&W Automotive, which she owned with her husband.

Paula lived her life full of love and humor. She married Mike Shofner in 1978, and they had two children, James and Jennifer Shofner. Sadly, Mike passed three weeks before the birth of Jennifer. Twelve years later, Paula met her grease-covered soulmate, Randy Weidner. They married April 24, 1999, and experienced 21 years of happiness together. She was the best wife Randy could have wished for, the greatest mother to her children, and most loving grand and great grandmother to her grandchild and great-grandchild. She could find humor in any situation, even in her last moments.

Paula is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Bowden,  husband Mike Shofner, and many other dear loved ones.

She is survived by her husband Randall Weidner, daughter Jennifer Shofner, son James Shofner, grandson Skyler Shofner and wife, Alyssa,  great-granddaughter Ellie Larain Shofner, sister Shirley Boles, brother Jimmy Bowden, all of which still reside in Mabank. Paula was also loved by countless other family, friends, customers, and people in the community.

Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
