Patricia Ann Hickson

Patricia Ann Hickson of Mabank, Texas passed away peacefully with her loved ones at her side on September 2, 2017.  She was born June 3, 1950 in Dallas, Texas to the home of Johnny Jackson & Claudia Vivian McCarty Blaylock.  Trish, as all her family and friends knew her grew up in a loving home with 2 sisters; Marlyand Bolin & Claudine Schlimer and a brother; Larry Blaylock.

Trish graduated from Mesquite High School.  She also attended Eastfield Community College in Mesquite, Texas.  She obtained her real estate license and sold many homes in the DFW area.  Later she worked as a manager in the medical records field for approximately 10 years, and then she became a home health care aide with At Home Healthcare.  She was blessed with 2 children; Terri Martin and her husband Shane and Denny Hickson & his wife Tammy.  Trish always loved getting hugs from her 5 grandchildren; Christian Hickson, Knoxx Taft, Khane Taft, Justin Stanley and Ashley Wilson, or from her 6 great-grandchildren.  Trish was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Gun Barrel City for the last 8 years.  She always looked forward to spending time with her extended church family each Sunday.  In Trish’s spare time she enjoyed reading her bible, playing with her beloved dog Brandi, coloring in her adult coloring books, going shopping and having dinner with her daughter and sister.  She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends talking about what all she had seen and done throughout her lifetime.  She was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a dear friend to many.  She was the best mother and friend a girl could ask for.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Trish is preceded in death by her dad Jack and her sister Claudine Schlimer.

Bro. Dennis Woods with Liberty Baptist Church in Gun Barrel City, Texas will be officiating for the Hickson family.
