Patricia Burrows

May 7, 1939 — May 29, 2024

Eustace, Texas

Pat Burrows, 85, passed away on May 29, 2024, in Mabank, Texas. She was born on May 7, 1939, in Dallas, Texas to parents Richard Perew and Ruby (Day) Johnson.

Pat’s life was a tapestry woven with love, kindness, and a deep sense of community. Alongside her husband David, she owned and ran the Countryside Grocery Store in Payne Springs, Texas from 1986 to 1999. Their joint efforts not only provided for their family but also created a welcoming hub for the local residents.

Pat’s warmth extended beyond the walls of the grocery store. She had a passion for cooking and hosting gatherings that brought family and friends together. The lake was a special place where countless memories were made with loved ones. No occasion was as cherished as Memorial Day, where Pat's heart swelled with joy at the sight of her family coming together.

In addition to her role as a business owner and homemaker, Pat had a vibrant personality that drew people to her. She had a lively spirit that brightened any room.

Her list of hobbies and interests reflected her curious mind and adventurous spirit. An avid reader, she could always be found with a book in hand. Traveling in their Winnebago brought her immense joy, allowing her to explore new places and create lasting memories. Music held a special place in her heart; Christian hymns and soulful blues resonated deeply within her.

Among all her accomplishments, Pat held dear her active involvement in First Assembly of God Church of Eustace. Her faith was an integral part of her life and guided her actions with love and compassion towards others.

As we mourn the loss of Pat Burrows, we also celebrate the impact she had on those around her. Her legacy of love, generosity, and community spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was loved by all and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
