In 1974 Paschal had the opportunity to become Business Manager for the Union, representing all individuals fairly, for a total of 26 years for Local Union 756. He touched hundreds of employees and their families by negotiating employee contracts with his unique abilities and vast knowledge of the business. Paschal retired in 2001 after serving his Union Family. His peers remember him as a smart, strong, honest, forthright, and loyal leader.
Paschal’s grandchildren will always have fond memories of their countless hours playing Nintendo with him or watching movies. He also enjoyed driving around his excavator, which he utilized to help his community, Cherokee Shores, by devoting time and energy into paving/patching new roads as needed. On November 14, 2020, the Community of Cherokee Shores named a street P. Roberts Parkway dedicated to our beloved Paschal Ray.
A word from his surviving daughter Quin:
“My daddy was the bravest, smartest and strongest man I have ever known. I have been forever changed by all the stories that I have heard about him in the last month or so while he battled with his health issues. Words are hard to come by at the moment, but I can say that the word integrity comes to mind when I write this, as does playful and funny. I will forever miss my father, but I am thankful for every moment I had with him.”
Preceded in death by Son Fowler Ray Roberts, Daughter Donna Lynn Koenig, Mother Mildred Roberts, Father Lennie B Roberts Sr, older brother Lennie B (Sugar Mug) Roberts Jr., and youngest Jimmy Roberts.
