Olga Louise Wilson, 77 of Gun Barrel City, Texas entered into eternal rest on February 4, 2018. She was born on July 19, 1940 in Dallas, Texas in the home of J. Clark Sr. & Jean Atkins.
Olga and Stanly married in 1957, raised their six children in Garland, Texas. She and Stanley moved to Cedar Creek Lake in 1988 after their children were grown. Olga was a member of Harbor Baptist Church in Payne Springs, Texas.
Olga was not bashful about sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, to her children, her grandchildren or anyone else would happen to visit. Her faith sustained her through a very difficult time over the last several years.
In Olga’s spare time she loved being outdoors and was an avid artist. Painting animals was a passion. She raised poodles, had several loud and obnoxious parrots and she loved every minute of it. She left a true impact on her family and friends.
Olga is survived by her husband of 60 years Stanley Wilson, daughters; Mona Jean Burgess, Janine Smith. Sons; Billy Wilson, Robert Wilson, John Wilson and Michael Wilson. Sister-in-law Robby Thornton. Olga was blessed with 9 grandchildren. She has many other family members and a host of friends. Olga will be dearly missed.
Olga is preceded in death by her grandparents A.W. & Olga Letson, mother, Jean Atkins, brother Clark Atkins and her aunt Ester Flores.
Bro. George Yarger with the Harbor Baptist Church in Payne Springs will be officiating for the Wilson family and Bro. Jerry Burney to give testimony.
