Norma Jean Holland, 91, passed away on December 13, 2020. She was born on January 9, 1929, in Ada, OK, to Clarence and Ester Wall.
She served as a Detective for the Dallas Police Department for 28 years, retiring in 1983. Jean and her late husband, Jim, loved to travel; so much so, they visited all 50 states in the US and got to see many of our country’s beautiful National Parks and scenery. They enjoyed taking their camper when traveling with friends and relatives on these trips. When she wasn’t traveling, she enjoyed anything that had to do with gambling, poker, and blackjack. Most of all, Jean loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family gatherings. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Jean is survived by children Nicky Holland and husband Keith Tyler, and Mack Holland; grandchildren Amber Jennings and husband Naman, Monica Stanley and husband Phillip, and James Healy; great-grandchildren Emilee, Grady, Poppi, Mila, and Roman; and brother Del Wall and wife Tommie Crowder.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband of 63 years, James Walter Holland.
