Mildred Baxter a long time resident of Enchanted Oaks, TX. passed away Sunday November 1, 2009 at her home with her family by her side. Born in Darlington, Missouri but lived her life in Dallas, and then moved to the lake. She loved the lake life and made her home and garden lush and beautiful with her "green thumb." Mildred loved her family, loved digging in the dirt, enjoyed the things she could grow and enjoyed sharing her knowledge as she did with many. She is survived by her husband Calvin Baxter and her daughter Sue Cook, grandchildren Craig Cook, Christi Rose and her husband Randy, Carla Boyd, Terri Wilmon, and her husband Alyn, great grandchildren Bridgette Rounsaval, Zachary Neighbors and his wife Amy, Derrick Neighbors, B.B. Boyd, Josh Rogalisky, step-granddaughter Michela Rose, great great-granddaughters Skylar Rounsaval, Katelyn Sue Neighbors, step great grandsons Christian Rose, Caden Rose, nephews Jeff Kirkpatrick, Rodger Kirkpatrick, a host of friends, and her special care givers Paulene Moore, Bobby Denson "Sue" Sawyer. She was preceded in death by her son Barry Culwell. A celebration of the 95-year life of our "G.G." was at the Enchanted Oaks Town Hall Saturday November 7, 2009 with Rev. Eston Williams presiding. She was loved by many and will be missed dearly. But now peaceful! "Old gardeners never die." Arrangements are with Moorhead-Epps Funeral Home of Gun Barrel City.
