Michael Wayne Somerville, Jr.

Mikey Wayne Somerville, Jr., 10, passed away on September 11, 2021.  He was born on December 6, 2010, in Kaufman, Texas, to parents Michael Wayne Somerville, Sr. and Tonya Fields Somerville.

Mikey was diagnosed with brain cancer at age 4 and was told he only had 18 months to live.  Boy, did he have them fooled!  Amazingly he had five brain surgeries and six different chemo rounds.  And, of course, he rocked them all with a thumbs up.  Mikey is the true definition of strong.  He absolutely loved jelly roll music, superheroes, and legos.  Mikey never had to muster a smile on his face.  He is loved by so many, and he never met a stranger.  He touched so many lives with his personality and the love he had for others.  Mikey will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his mom and dad, Tonya and Michael; sister Autumn; brother Hunter; bonus mom Melissa; stepsisters Kali, Kourtney, Natalie; stepbrother Ray; grandparents Nene and Papa, Memaw and Papaw, and Gami; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a lot of family of friends.

Bro. John Hudson will officiate for the Somerville family.
