Michael Ronald Rhoades

Michael Ronald Rhoades, 51, passed away on September 18, 2019.  He was born on January 10, 1968, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the home of Eugene and Margaret Puschall Rhoades.

Mike had no acquaintances, only conversations, hundreds of them.  And once a conversation had been engaged, a friendship was born.  And, indeed a great friend he was to many.  Mike had a sense of understanding about the world, which allowed him to relate to the personal struggles of others and offer heartfelt guidance.  Or, he would take the time to sit and talk about the things he found humorous to make others smile.  His kindness, compassion, and the joy he brought to those around him will be missed, but his spirit will endure forevermore.  He who has gone, so we but cherish his memory, abides with us, more potent, more present than the living man.  Rest in peace, beloved  brother, uncle and friend.

He is survived by brothers Phillip Rhoades and wife Tammy, John Calhoun and wife Kathy, Charles “Butchie” Calhoun and wife Monica, Troi Fabbri and wife Dawn, and Randy Brewer and wife Windy; sisters Dorothy Calhoun, Mary Tyler and husband Marland, and Jessica Calhoun; sister-in-laws Amy Calhoun and Jane Rhoades; as well as several nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Margaret Rhoades and Mildred Calhoun; brothers Kevin Rhoades, Ricky Calhoun, and nephew Stephen Adkisson.

A celebration of Mike's life will be held at the home of John and Kathy Calhoun on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 4:00 PM.
