Michael James Cheek

Michael James Cheek, 60, passed away on September 1, 2021.  He was born on February 5, 1961, in Levelland, Texas, to parents Kenneth Jewel and Jo Ann Cheek.

Mike always worked in construction and loved to build things.  He attended Central Baptist Church in Mabank for many years.  He had the biggest heart, was always quick to help someone, and always knew how to make you laugh.  Mike was a loving father and grandfather and loved his children and grandchildren more than anything.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by sons Sean Cheek and wife Rachel, and Chad Cheek and fiancé Stephanie; grandchildren Avery Greenhaw and Carter Cheek; sister Nancy Nottingham and husband Jeff; brothers Joe Cheek and wife Colleen, William Cheek and wife Lezlee, and David Cheek and wife Debbie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Richard Cheek; sister Linda Gain; and brother-in-law William Gain.

Pastor Jeff Nottingham will officiate for the Cheek family.

Pallbearers are Joseph Nottingham, Devin Nottingham, Samuel Nottingham, Jeremy Cheek, Jacob Cheek, and Josh Cheek.
