Melvin Eugene Cooke

Melvin “Mel” Eugene Cooke, 91, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 22, 2021.  He was born on February 2, 1930, in Dallas, Texas, to Lucille Collingsworth Cooke and Robert Cooke.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and worked for Boeing Aircraft for many years until his retirement.  He moved to Tool, Texas in 1991.  Mel will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Olivia Blunt Cooke, sister Joanne Cooke, and brother Norman Dale Cooke.

Mel is survived by cousins Wendell Cooke, Stacy Cooke, Billy Joe Cooke, Ralph Cooke, and all their families; and his companion Sara Hall.

The family would like to thank the nurses and Chaplain Lupe from Heritage Hospice out of Waxahachie, Texas, for all the exceptional care given to Mel.
