Mary Helen Morse

Mary Helen Morse, 80, passed away on November 10, 2021.  She was born on April 10, 1941, in Emory, Texas, to Glen Alma Morris and Ona Mae Yates Morris.

Mary was a very loving, devoted, and caring wife, mother and grandmother.  She was loved by many.  She married the love of her life, Gerald Wayne Morse, on October 21, 1956, and together had five children and a long marriage.  She not only raised her children; she had a hand in raising many of her grandchildren as well.  Even though her patience was tested many times as the years went by, she was always there for her kids and grandkids.  She found love in studying genealogy and finding out the history of our family so her kids knew where they came from.  She enjoyed sitting outside on her swing reading books and visiting with friends and family.  Mary graduated from Paris College to pursue a career in law.  Her love for helping others was always felt and appreciated.  To know her was to love her.  She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by children Donna Smith and husband John of Trinidad, Judy Kerr of Gun Barrel City, Bobbie Kathleen Harlin and husband Alan of Log Cabin, Tammy Morse of Mabank, and Gerald Morse and wife Crystal Cazares of Mabank; grandchildren Jermy Myers, Jamie Helms, John Myers, Lauren Terry, Stefhan Kerr, Matthew Kerr, Kyle Myers, Brandon Harlin, Samantha Harlin, Kassidye Harlin, Justin Morse, Dalton vonHoffman, Chloe Morse, Luke Cazares, Haven Morse, Jennifer Rigs, and Baby Jacob Boy; great-grandchildren Hunter L., Hayden, Harper, Hadlee, Paizleigh, Hunter M., Addison, Leanne, Cody, Savannah, Korbin, Mayvs Opal, Kyndal, Shaelee, Brayden, Drake, Deacon, Haygen, Hudson, Ezekiel, and Kyson; great-great-grandchild Lolynn; siblings Jimmy Morris and wife Bobby of Bullard, TX, Larry Morris and wife Donna of Tyler, TX, Alma Sue Kenney and husband Lee of Clinton, CO, Barbara Dowdle and husband Dana of Grand Saline, TX, Gary Morris of West Tawakoni, TX, Glen Morris Jr. and wife Elizabeth of GA, and Thomas Wallace of Athens, TX.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; husband Gerald Wayne Morse, grandson Jordan Ryan vonHoffman, and brother Alton Morris.
