Marian D Brier
March 7, 1940 — January 17, 2017
Marian Alyce Brier of Enchanted Oaks, Texas passed away on January 17, 2017. Marian was born March 7, 1940 in Ft. Worth, Texas to the home of Hal & Vivian Pope Douglas. She is survived by two sisters, Janette Woody and Annette Stewart, her dear sister-in-law, Felice Ehrlich, her beloved niece Tina Woody Grubbs, and her special nephews Daniel Woody and David Ehrlich and their lovely families.
In 1964, Marian married the love of her life Allen Stewart Brier, and together they have a wonderful daughter Terrie & her husband Stuart Tompkins. Marian and Allen shared 52 wonderful years together and enjoyed their many cruises and trips to visit Terrie and Stu in San Diego. They had a twenty year history of staying at the Wyndham Hotel overlooking the San Diego Harbor where they enjoyed many memories and good times.
Marian’s best retirement buddy was her beloved Golden Retriever, Missy. Recently adopted Honey joined the family just two months ago and Marian adored her as well.
Marian has many other family members and a host of friends that she greatly loved; she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Marian is preceded in death by her parents: Hal Douglas & Vivian Pope Douglas.
Brother Ed Schauer with the Church of The Nazarene in Gun Barrel City, Texas will officiate the memorial service for the Brier family.
