Margaret Burnic Orrick-Reid, 97, passed away on September 14, 2020. She was born on September 16, 1922, in Houston, Texas, to the home of Ransom Henry and Alabama Elizabeth Clark.
Margaret was a very independent, hard-headed, and strong-willed woman. She was determined to live her life taking care of her yard and all her animals until the day came she could no longer live alone. She had many pets, but her most favorite was Angel Dove. She and Angel Dove would pray together every day. And to this day Angel Dove is still living, and is over 20 years old now. Everyone who knew her at Kemp Care Center all loved her and thought she was the sweetest lady. More than anything she loved her family and grandkids, great-grandkids, and great-great-grandkids. Margaret will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children Sue Floyd and husband Steve, and Bill Orrick and wife Pat; four grandchildren Janet Emerson and husband Dennis, Lyndon Orrick and wife Karlicia, Cindy Collier, and Andy Bowles and wife Tracy; seven great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents; husbands Dub Orrick, and Wayne Reid; son Jerry Orrick; grandsons David Floyd, and Michael Lynn Orrick; and great-grandsons Michael Freeman, and Lyndon Dale Orrick, Jr.
