Margaret Elizabeth Branton, age 73, passed away on February 18, 2025, in Canton, Texas. She was born on June 1, 1951, in Dallas, Texas to parents James and Edith (Dockins) Praytor. 

Margaret was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She grew up with a strong foundation, graduating from Sunset High School in 1969. For thirty years, Margaret built a commendable career as a paralegal, dedicating the last twenty of those years to working alongside Joann E. Combs Attorney at Law and Shumpert and Huff.

Beyond her career, Margaret had a flair for creativity and a passion for celebration. She was known for her professional cake baking, lending her skills to weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays. Her cakes became a highlight at many gatherings, cherished not just for their flavor, but for the love she infused into each creation.

In her free time, Margaret found joy in quilting, skillfully crafting blankets, clothes, and hats. This hobby was more than just a pastime for her; it was a way to share warmth and comfort with her family and friends.

Above all, Margaret took pride in her role as a mother, cherishing every moment spent raising her boys. Her accomplishments in both her work and personal life reflect her dedication and the love she poured into all that she did.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, James and Edith Praytor; son, Matthew Branton; grandson, Blake Branton; siblings, Archie Praytor, Linda Curtis, Brenda Davis, and Sue Praytor.

Margaret is survived by her son, David Branton and wife Cori; son, Shane Branton and wife Julie; grandchildren, Sarah Thomas and husband Josh; Teesh Branton; Savanna Branton; Sidni Branton; Shelbe Branton; David Branton III; Maddy Branton; Lilli Branton; Gabby Branton; great-grandchildren, Jax Thomas; Ian Thomas; Kylie Branton; Eli Thomas; Brooks Branton; Collins Branton; Levi Morales; Jocilyn Branton; sister, Missie Praytor; as well as numerous family, friends, and loved ones.
