Linda Hollaway James, 72, passed away on November 27, 2020. She was born on November 23, 1948, in Dallas, Texas, to Ray and Pearley May Hollaway.
In 1964, Linda married her best friend and the love of her life, Edward, and together they raised four children. She had a heart of gold; she never met a stranger and loved everyone, and everyone called her Mama because she always made them feel welcome at her house. Linda was a compassionate woman with a smile that would light up any room. If you were upset or mad, she was always there to listen and make you feel better. If you made her mad, she would tell you about it, but she never held a grudge. She loved and missed her husband and grieved for him very deeply over the last four years, and now they are together again in heaven with our Father, and I know there is a celebration like you could not imagine. She was loved deeply on earth, and I know that she will be loved deeply in heaven. Heaven has definitely got a beautiful new angel. She meant the world to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandbabies. Rest in peace “Mama” until we see you again.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents; husband Edward Eugene James; brothers Willie Hollaway, Jack Hollaway, Audrie Hollaway, Robert Hollaway, David Hollaway, Wayne Hollaway, and Anthony Hollaway.
Left to cherish her memories are her four children Eddie James, Benje James, Laura Simpson and husband Jeff, and Ashley James; grandchildren Steven Ray James, Mindy Ragan, Dylan James, and Joey James; great-grandchildren Kacie McCall, Kaleb Ragan, Kaylee Ragan, and Kaydee Ragan; sister Janelle Hartsfield; many other family members and a host of friends.
