Linda Sue Potts Murner, 66, passed away on June 15, 2024, in Tyler, Texas. She was born on January 21, 1958, in Atlanta, Georgia; to parents Albert James and Annie Sue (Frazier) Potts.
Linda married the love of her life Larry on December 5, 1980, in Union City, Georgia. Together they raised their daughter Lisa in a home full of love. Linda was a woman who never shied away from voicing her opinions, always standing up for what she believed. Her presence brought a unique vibrancy to every room she entered, making sure her voice was heard and thoughts were known.
One of Linda’s greatest joys in life was indulging in her hobbies and interests. She found immense pleasure in watching old movies, particularly westerns and "I Love Lucy." But perhaps what brought the biggest sparkle to her eyes was conversing about her "Dear Mama" daily. The memories and stories shared were like treasures to Linda, keeping the legacy of her dear mama alive in her heart. Above all else, Linda's adoration for her grandson Mikey knew no bounds. To Linda, Mikey was not just a grandson; he was a beacon of light and hope, someone she truly believed walked on water. The love and pride she felt for him added an extra shine to her eyes whenever his name was mentioned.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Annie Potts; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Helen Murner.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Larry Murner of Mabank, TX; loving daughter, Lisa Sanders and husband Jake Bray of Mabank, TX; beloved grandson, Joseph Michael “Mikey” Johnson of Eustace, TX; bonus grandchildren, Ava Sanders, Jake Jr., Jamie, Bailee, and Alley Bray; special family friend, Anthony Neil Bailey of Athens, TX; as well as numerous other extended family, friends, and loved ones.
