Lawson Everett Gage, Jr., 84, passed away at home on November 18, 2021. He was born on December 27, 1936, in Canton, Texas, to parents Lawson Everett Gage, Sr. and Lottie Loraine Gage.
He loved God with all his heart; he played the guitar and sang in church. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was a cabinet maker by trade. Hobbies included making violins, dulcimers, and carved figures. He loved horses and old cars. He was also ready at any moment to tell a story to anyone that would listen. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved him. He can truly say, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7
Lawson is survived by children Michael Lynn Gage and wife Edi, Johnny Wayne Gage and wife Brenda, and Kenneth Lee Gage and wife Jennifer; nine grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; siblings Doyle and wife Lavada, Mark, Jackie and husband Tim, Steve and wife Kathy, Connie, and Marybeth and husband Andy; special daughter-in-law and caregiver, Shirley Gage.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lawson Everett Gage, Sr. and Lottie Loraine Gage; wife Joyce Nell Gage; and son William Everett Gage.
Pastor Thomas Eason, with The Master’s Touch Ministry, will officiate for the Gage family.
Pallbearers are Josh, Ryland, Gary, Johnny, Jr., Lawson, and Will.
