Larry Gene Grubbs passed away peacefully on July 21, 2020. He was born to Louis and Lucille Grubbs on October 12, 1952, in Hugo, Oklahoma.
He was a lifelong resident of Irving and Grand Prairie, Texas. He was a car dealer for many years, owning several different locations in Grand Prairie. His hobbies included his softball team, Larry’s Used Cars, that he sponsored and coached. The team traveled all over the US, even winning 5th in the World Series at the major level. He loved sports, especially the Texas Rangers, and always wanted to read the sports pages. He enjoyed playing cards, going to the movies, and really enjoyed listening to oldies music. However, above all of these things, nothing compared to the love he had for his family.
Larry is survived by his four children Janice and husband Jody, Joy Rene, Larry, Jr., and Michael and wife Tina; four grandchildren Madison, Preston and wife Crystal, MacKenzie, and Taylor; two great-granddaughters Sage and Odeya; five siblings Debra, Kenneth, Gary, Annette, and Judy; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife Beverly; his mother and father; brother Louis, Jr.; and sister Linda.
