Kenneth Lafe Beltz, 72, entered into eternal rest on December 21, 2019. He was born on June 16, 1947, in Sioux City, Iowa, to the home of Lafe Kenneth and Wilma Rich Beltz, although they lived in Nebraska just across the river.
He loved to fish, and when he gave his life to Jesus, he found fishing for men was more rewarding. Kenneth enjoyed serving the Lord in whatever the Lord called him to do. He always said, “There is nothing better than being in the will of God.” His favorite saying was, “Well Glory” or “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” That was how he lived his life, putting God first even when he didn’t understand God’s plan. God never let him down and truly made away many times in his life when there seemed to be none. If Kenneth were here, he would tell you, “God will do it for you if you will just trust in Him.”
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Jackie Beltz; son Eric Shipley and wife Shelley; one brother; two sisters; and grandchildren Leif and Reagan Shipley.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
