Jude Taylor Miniat

On Friday, July 3, 2020, Jude Taylor Miniat passed away at the age of 39.

Jude was born in Harrison, Arkansas, on February 8, 1981.  He was the son of Bill and Cindy Miniat and brother of Amii Wroblewski.  After living in several states as a child, he would end up calling Texas “home” for nearly three decades.

Jude spent his younger years as a youth leader, where he met many of his life-long friends.  He loved people and had an incredibly caring heart.  He was a person who would do anything for anyone at a moment’s notice, no matter the time of day.  He checked in regularly with every one of his family and friends to see how they, and their family, were doing.  He truly cared to know what you had been up to and how everything was going.  When you hurt, he hurt, and when you were happy, he was happy.

Music was a passion of Jude’s, and he always felt at ease when playing music and smoking cigars.  Simply being with those he loved is what he desired most.  Jude’s greatest joys were his two nephews, Lawyer and Jock, and he didn’t think twice to show you their pictures or brag on their accomplishments.  Coming together for any family event, whether it was simply to watch one of his nephews play a sport or spending Christmas Day together, made Jude the happiest.  Family meant everything to him.

While we are so saddened by his passing, we rest in the knowledge that he is now with our Lord and Savior and that we will one day meet again.

Jude is survived by his parents Bill and Cindy Miniat; sister Amii Wroblewski and husband Jason; maternal grandmother Nan Baker; paternal grandparents Jo and Bill Miniat, Sr.; nephews Lawyer and Jock Wroblewski; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by grandfather John Baker; and uncle Danny Baker.
