Johnnie Frank Timmons, 90, of Gun Barrel City, Texas passed away on July 17, 2019 at his home. He was born on October 1,1928 in Dallas, Texas to the home of Franklin John and Etta Louise Timmons.
He was a proud Marine and served his country during the Korean war. He was an avid sportsman; enjoyed golfing, flying, motorcycle racing, gardening, snow skiing, boating, and watching the Cowboys on TV. He had such an impact on his family and those closest to him. He never met a stranger, loved his family, and loved Jesus. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.
Johnnie is survived by his wife of 70 years Tillie Bell Timmons; children Gwen Ohman and husband Chipper of Houston, and Rocky Timmons of Seven Points; brother Marshall Timmons and wife Madelene; sisters JoAnn Williams, twins Ima English, and Emma Spears and husband Thomas; grandchildren Brandie Hajdasz of Houston, TX, Jerod Ohman of Springfield, Virginia, and Amy Timmons of Garland, TX; great grandchildren Sophia Hajdasz, Maddie Hajdasz, and Eleanor Lopez-Ohman; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Etta Timmons; sisters Earnestine Morgan and Barbara Hall; and brother-in-laws Bill English and Billy Joe Williams.
