John Michael Hanstrom

John Michael Hanstrom, 61, passed away of natural causes at his home in Tool on Friday, August 18, 2023.

John was born in Sinton, TX on January 22, 1962, to Billy Ray and Jo Ann Rouse Hanstrom. He spent his early childhood and grade school years in the Corpus  Christi area and then in the D/FW  Mid-Cities and other areas, including Tennessee.  In his high school days, he was an avid skateboarder and participated in competitive roller skating. In later years, while he was still healthy enough to play, golf was his game. John was a Redskins fan through and through and he got a big kick out of arguing with Dallas Cowboys fans. He was kind to everyone he met and loved kids and animals. He worked in many areas of construction before becoming ill in the early 2000’s.

John is survived by loving family, parents Billy Ray and Jo Ann Hanstrom, brother Jeff (Jana) Hanstrom, nephew John Nicholas (Rebecca) Hanstrom, niece Anna Hanstrom, adopted family member Kerry Polk, aunt Carlene Boucher, many cousins and friends.

Preceding John in death were grandparents Ina and E.A. Rouse, Eva and Jack Hanstrom, and uncle Don Boucher.
