Jim "James" Dudley Henderson

Jim "James" Dudley Henderson, 59, passed away on June 29, 2023, in Gun Barrel City, TX. He was born on January 14, 1964, in Athens, TX, to parents Jimmy and Sara (Hearne) Henderson.

 Jim met his best friend and the love of his life, Jerry and they were married on June 15, 2015, in Durant, OK. Jim had a lifelong career as a truck driver and had a passion for the trucks themselves, at one point he even wanted to buy an 18-wheeler just to crank up in the driveway and admire. He has been described as an “old country boy” who enjoyed fishing and loved horses. Jim used to enjoy doing shows at Garlow’s and was even voted “Mr. Gun Barrel City, Intl” by the gay community. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him. 

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Sara Henderson; and sister, Kimberly Hernandez.

Jim is survived by his husband, Jerry Henderson of Gun Barrel City, TX; brother, James “Scooter” Raymond and wife Sissy of Tool, TX; brother, Jimmy Don Henderson of Tool, TX; brother, Joe Neal Hernandez of Texas; and sister, Brendi Henderson of Henderson County, TX; nieces, Sara Hernandez, Megan Raymond, Kirstyn Raymond; nephews, Brayden Raymond, Brody Raymond; and his Aunt Cleo Jones of Wyoming.
