On October 17, 2014 the world lost a particularly unique and remarkable woman. Jeannie Wilkinson, 68 of Athens TX, passed due to respiratory complications. She was known and loved by many as one of the most tentative and compassionate caregivers around. As such, she always said it was her calling. She was born October 16, 1946 in Bartlett TX, as a native to east Texas, she is survived by her husband Archie Wilkinson, son Jason Wilkinson, and sister Pat Furr, and several nieces and nephews. Grandchildren Monica Worthy, Levi Schandorff, Gavan, Toni, Triniti, and Jonathan Wilkinson, and great grandchildren, Dyllon and Dalton Wilkinson. Preceded in death by her daughter Tracy Lynn Wilkinson, and many siblings. She has worked in countless nursing homes or more than 50 years caring for others family members who could not do so for themselves, selflessly. Her gracious nature and delicate touch was loved by all of the lives that she reached out to and cared for.
