Tony Rogillio

Mabank, TX

James Anthony Rogillio, (Tony) was born to James Arley Rogillio and Josephine Ramsey Rogillio on January 22, 1946, in Orange, TX.  Tony married Laurette Powell June 3rd, 2000 in Kaufman, TX. On February 20, 2024, he took his place at the banquet table with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in beautiful Heaven. 

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, James and Josephine Rogillio, his brother, John Patrick Rogillio and his granddaughter Leah Brynn Powell. 

 He is survived by his wife, Laurette Powell Rogillio, his step sons, Ron Powell (Andrea), Mabank, TX, John Powell (Laura) , Allen, TX.  His sisters Judy Mayes (Lynn), Bettye Boyd (Tim), Martha Putman (Frank), Susan Rhyne and brother Gerald Rogillio.  

Tony had 8 grandchildren whom he loved and was so very proud of.  Brook Ann Wilson Powell, Blake Powell, Emma Powell Teel (Connor), Eli Roy Powell, Faith Anne Powell, Lila Jane Powell, Toby Powell, and foster granddaughter Tali, one great granddaughter; Teagan Saige Teel.  He loved all the grands and was a very proud Papaw Tony.  Each one was very special to him.   Even though Tony didn’t have any children of his own he loved his nieces and nephews like his own.  Family was very precious to him. Tony grew up in Pleasant Grove but later moved to Houston where he spent much of his adult life before moving back to Dallas. He and Laurette met in May 1999 and later married June 3rd, 2000 and had residence in Kaufman before moving to Prairieville in August 2009.  Where they now reside. 

Tony and Laurette are active members of Grace Community Church Mabank.  Tony loved to share his faith with anyone that would listen.  His GCC family meant a lot with him and him to them. Tony was a mechanic by trade and a very good one.  He retired from Dallas Fire in 2007.  He worked on the Fire Engines and Ambulances as a mechanic.
