Ida had a very strong faith in God and devotion to blessed Mother Mary. She was very involved in her church ministries. She enjoyed being a girl scout leader. Ida worked in a mental health facility and shelter for battered woman, she helped care for foster children. Also served on quite a few boards.
In her spare time she enjoyed feeding and watching the birds and especially humming birds. She also loved to cook, working in the garden, going camping with her family, going on nature walks, playing table games, sewing, quilting and making crafts. And a good book always made her day.
Ida is preceded in death by her parents James Roy & Gladys Irene Sides McAvoy, sisters; Sue, Peggy, Linda, Jo, and two brothers Donnie and Bill.
Ida loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and husband so very much. She always cared for others before herself. Left to cherish Ida’s memories are many other family members and a host of friends. Ida was greatly loved; she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
