Hal's commitment to education took him on a remarkable journey throughout life. Beyond his exceptional intelligence and academic achievements, Hal possessed a creative spirit that knew no bounds. He was a talented artist in multiple media and had a unique ability to translate his emotions onto canvas. His art reflected his innermost thoughts and evoked powerful emotions in everyone who had the privilege of experiencing it. Through his creations, Hal captured the beauty of the world in all its intricacies.

An avid outdoorsman, Hal nurtured a deep love for camping, hiking, and canoeing, always eager to explore new trails and navigate uncharted waters. The great outdoors served as both his sanctuary and inspiration; it was where he felt most alive. As an accomplished photographer, Hal effortlessly conveyed the breathtaking sights he encountered during these wilderness adventures.

Harold is preceded in death by his father, Ray Rice, and brother, David Rice.

Harold is survived by his mother, Bobbie Rice of Eustace, TX; sister, Lorranna Allen of Eustace, TX; sister, Rhenda Skinner and husband Bobby of Quinlan, TX; sister, Caryl Cook of Dallas, TX; brother, Douglas Rice and wife Juddie of Ft. Worth, TX; sister, June Rice of Ft. Worth, TX; nephew, Chris Allen of Eustace, TX; cousin, Elaine Meiners of  Illinois, numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
